Crackle Spray Paint

Today I turned quite a nice pine moulded picture frame into a shabby chic masterpiece. All I used was a two step spray paint combo, the base coat was gold, and the top coat was a reactive cream coat.

Shabby Chic Photo Frame

Below shows how the frame looked like when it started compared with how it finished.

Crackle Effect

The top coat reacts with the bottom to form a crackle effect and gives the look of antiquity.

If you ever come across this I really recommend getting some, its the bees knees!

  1. It's lovely I really love the effect. Would you mind letting me know what make it was and where to get it from I have loads of frames that would benefit from this.
    Thanks
