Beaded Cluster Bracelet Tutorial

Beaded Cluster Bracelet

Here is all you need to know to make this beautiful bracelet.

All you need is the following:

- Round Nosed Pliers
- Chunky Beads
- Head Pins
- Elastic

First of all you need to cut yourself a length of elastic that will fit over your hand once tied. I would add a good 3cm's more than what you think as the beads will bulk out the bracelet alot.

Tie the ends of the elastic together. I held the two ends together and knotted it that way (as opposed to the knot you use at the beginning of your shoe laces).

Now you need to mount your beads on head pins. To do that, thread your bead on a head pin, bend the head pin 90 degrees, then roll the pin back on itself using the pliers until it forms a loop. Just before closing the loop, place the elastic inside so the loop closes and the bead is now attached to the elastic.

Continue adding beads to the elastic, building up the bracelet.

It is up to you how chunky you go, but the more beads you add, the firmer the cluster will be. Try not to obsess too much over the even spread of colours, because the beads will move wherever they like so you can't be too OCD with this (believe me I tried).

... and there you have it, your new cluster bracelet!

  1. It's gorgeous, I love the beads you have used too. It's amazing how many beads you need to do a cluster bracelet isn't it?
